Hi,

I installed an x3 in my old reliable v1 xbox. When the flash bios menu appears, it ignores the controllers.... when the chip is disabled the controller works fine. Any ideas?

This is an original Controller.

The controllers plug into a daughter board though which is strange.

Do you have a DVD remote & Dongle?
This usually works best since they barely changed the desing over the years.

Also, if that doesn't work, make sure you boot with NO controller styles plugged in, and once you get to the menu plug it in.

Have you got the control panel with USB ports? Or a USB/Xbox Adapter? I heard a guy yestrerday used a standard PC keyboard to navigate flashbios.
