X3 with 1.6XBOX Wont Boot MSDASH

Modded a 1.6XBOX with an X3 chip. Flash seemed to work well and have evox booting up on startup. If I disbale the chip to load the MSDASH, it shows a quick flash of the MSDASH and then the XBOX reboots. If I try to load MSDASH from EVOX, I see just a green screen but hear the menu sounds if I move my d-pad. Sorry if this has been brought up already, I could not find a solution anywhere... Any info or help would be greatly appreciated.. thanks!

What HDD is in there? Have you changed anything?

its a Western Digital 160GB 7200RPM 8MBCHCE

Just installed mod chip and slayers auto install on 1.6 xbox.

Hard drive is brand new and newly formatted with the auto installer. It has been locked before trying to boot to MS dash. I have been hearing that it may not be possible to disable the mod chip on a 1.6 xbox with an x3 but not sure how accurate that is.

Did you remember to backup your C and E drives from your old HDD?

You'll need these files copied back over to the new HDD.

Thank you Martin.. I will try that. One last question for you, I should be able to play on xbox live with the 1.6 and the x3 mod disabled right?

As long as you haven't already signed up for live with this Xbox, you should be ok.
