First of all forgive me if my question has already been answered.

Is it posible to install the X3 chip with the solderless adapter and without wiring in the switch and hence without having to solder the LAN & HDD LED's.

Am I right in thinking that without the switch the chip defaults to using banks 1.2.3.4 (1Mb Bank)

Thanks

Depends on what version of XBOX you have.

If it is a 1.6 or 1.6b then there is no Solderless solution.

Otherwise, yes.

You do not have to solder in the HD or LAN wires to make it function.

You don't need to install the switch. If solderless is available to you, Then you can just have it without the switch.

AFAIK - The switch is a secondary option. You can change which bios bank you use, via the bios (I believe, anyway)

That would be correct :)

Ok thanks for your input.

Is true that the default bank (without a switch installed) is a 1mb bank?

Thanks in advance
