x3 wont boot bios, but boots back-up bios

so I have an old xbox, maby 1.2 or 1.0 and an x3 chip, it started working intermittently so i thought it might be the bios going corupt. I boot into the back-up bios fine flash the chip with the newest bios and when i turn it back on it turns on then off then on then off then frags, i checked the lpc, (mine was in place from the factory i didnt need to do any sodering here) i checked the 3 wires on the back they are sodered good. i tried flashing to another bios version with no sucess, i can boot the xbox fine with the x3 disabled, except for the hardware error microsoft screen because of my 200gb hd that is unlocked, if i put the original xbox drive in thats locked and disable the x3 it works fine...
yet i can boot to the backup bios fine, i cant seem to get anything else to work anymore, the only thing i can think of is that i didnt do the recall on the power cord...
any ideas?
before i flashed the bios to the newer version it would turn on with the green led and a black screen and no video, thats why i figured it was corupt bios...
im all out of ideas
please help asap

ok i flashed it one more time with the latest x3 bios and this is what happenes when i hit power the x3 logo is blue the led around the eject is green for a bit (20 sec) then it starts flashing yellow, and only yellow -> tv is black nothing no sound
or this happens
i hit power and it turns on for like 2 sec then shuts off no frag or i hit power a bunch of times and it turns on and goes to the flashing yellow sh*t...
please help

i checked my connections again, and re sodered d0 but still no luck i hit power it turns on for 1 sec then shuts off or after doing that for a bit (3 tries or so) it turns on and then led is green x3 is blue and led after a bit starts flashing yellow
