Just installed my X3 chip today, got it all installed, It boots up fine (BLUE X) but I cant disable it. Holding down the power button only boots up in backup (PURLPLE X) and ejects my drive. I was thinking it was my DO point, but it checked out with a multimeter. Any one with help, please reply. Greatly appreciated in advance.

Restoring Sammy's Original Firmware [Jf],Active.iso Que

Hey,
Right now, I have LT 1.0 on my Samsung drive. I am using JungleFlasher, and have my original FW backed up, Since XBL just had another system update come out today, I'd like to restore my orig. FW [for the moment]. I'm reading JF's tutorial and a couple of questions arose:

(1) Since the FW on my drive isnt stock, it asks me to choose which version I have. My 2 options are:

(a) Xtreme 3.3 > iXtreme 1.4
or
(b) iXtreme 1.5> iXtreme 1.61

Since I have iXtreme LT 1.0 currently installed, I'm assuming it's option a. Right? That's the one I been following. Now:

(2) The tutorial told me to make the Active.iso DL disc. Done. I'm looking up a little info online about the disc, and someone said that if you use it on your 360, it raises your chance on getting flagged on XBL. I didn't know if this was just a rumor or what, but from my understanding, I have to use that disc to unlock my Sammy (since the FW's hacked). Would it, some how, alert MS if I used the active.iso disc? I highly doubt it, but trying to be safe.

Thanks for your time! Peace

Re: Restoring Sammy's Original Firmware [Jf],Active.iso

sammy drives don't support ap2.5 protection so no need to worry about the update as your games should all work without
any problems.

all you do is load the the original firmware dump into the target side of jungleflasher and then flash it back to the drive.
don't make it harder then it is.

Re: Restoring Sammy's Original Firmware [Jf],Active.iso

'Preciate it, man. I was curious if I could just use the original and flash it back the way I originally put the LT1.0 on there. The only thing stopping me was the JungleFlasher tutorial (Ive asked questions on here before and get these dudes hollarin': "ItZ IN THa TUTORIAL!!?!! REaD ThE TUTORIAL!!")

...so, obviously, I was going by the guide. Thanks for making my life a lil more simple, buddy! Later

Re: Restoring Sammy's Original Firmware [Jf],Active.iso

I aint messed with the system lately, but I'm about to get my flashing done...just one more question and I'll be good:

Going through it all on JF, I load my (previously saved, currently used) hacked firmware in the "Source" spot, and the old, original firmware [SAM-OFW.bin] in the "Target" and let 'er rip...? What's being wrote should be my original factory FW...right? Peace!
