Ok so my x3 and Xapt3r finally came today, and it installed very easily. i put the xbox back together and it booted to the flash bios with no problem. when i flashed the bios it flashed sucessfully then the xbox turned off as it said. but when i turned it back on i got no video. the sound was still coming through, but no video. when i do the long power on the ms dash still boots fine with video and without problem. so what can i do to get my video back with the x3 enabled? i have a version 1.1 xbox im pretty sure, and im very confident i installed it correctly. any suggestions would be much appreciated.

i could really use some help with this situation. i feel like im so close yet so far from getting this working properly. Would it be worth it to remove the Xapt3r and just soldier the pin header in? i dont know what to do now, and i really want to get this working.

I flashed the chip with the X3 1959 - 1024k bios. I used the same exact bios on my friends 1.6 xbox about a week ago and everything was fine. No problems at all on his.

There are two X3 1959 BIOSes in that folder.M-Dizzle said:
One is for 1.0-1.5 Xboxes and one is for the 1.6/1.6b Xbox.
Make sure you flash the correct one.

ohhh no, so if i flashed mine with the version that is meant for the 1.6, how would i go about changing it to the 1.0-1.5 version bios? do i need to put my chip in my freinds 1.6 xbox to be able to reflash it to the 1.0-1.5 version?

yeah that was the problem, i feel so dumb for not remembering that in the first place, im usually very good with electronics but in this instance i used the same cd we made for my friend's 1.6 xbox without thinking about the difference in xbox versions. Thanks again Martin and Hoboz
