So, I purchased an X360 USB pro Jungle Flasher edition, and an X360key to use on my xbox 360 (as I cannot JTAG it).

My question is, do I need anything else to power my xbox 360's disk drive, or will the X360 USB pro power it? I've seen websites selling an additional power supply, but I figured the USB port would be able to supply enough power to turn on and open the disk drive.

Also, I already have LT3.0 flashed onto my Xbox 360's disk drive, but I do not have a file for the original firmware for the disk drive, as the modder didn't supply me with any files. Will I be able to extract the firmware and place it onto a microSD card in order to run my X360key?

Thanks in advance for any advice or help you can give me.

The XBOX 360's DVD-ROM requires external power, you can use a CK3 for this.

With regards to the X360Key, you won't get any support for it here I'm afraid but I am sure they have their own forum :).

Thank you very much. I was unsure about the X360key, but I just wanted to be complete with what I intended to do with my Xbox 360.

It looks like I'll have to purchase another piece of hardware, but thank you very much for the fast response.

Hmm, I was hoping to just be able to power it using the USB port. I'll look into purchasing a CK3 mini, but I was hoping to get this done sooner.

Also, the drive I'll be flashing is a Samsung from a phat model.

I think you find the power from a USB port is not enough to eject the drive.

Also as for the CK3 mini.... It is a wikid bit of kit for the money! you wont be disappointed. I use the mini all of the time now.

yes... so to clear up any confusion.
A USB port is enough to power (flash) but not eject (half tray) a drive....

The CK3 mini plugged into a spare pc molex plug will be enough power to eject as well...

BTW, did I mention that I love the CK3 mini? lol

to eject your drive via CK3 the you need a molex power supply , 12v !

USB to MOLEX 5V Power Cable gives 5v ,that is the reason why ck3 can't eject !

hope now this is Clear !!!

You can get the essential 5V supply for your 360 DVD Drive, the only thing you wont get is the 12V line for eject. Eject is only required when performing certain recovery procedures, but for the most part all you will ever need is the 5V - a great bonus cable that has $4.95 Value !

It comes with it free.
