I don't think anyone can tell you if you should keep your slim or sell it. That's definately your call. If you want to do some searching on this site for other people who have asked the same questions - there are thousands of them - you could always take the advise they were given.

You will still need to open the xbox to use the "usb thingy".

Thus, a normal question about the possible timeframe. I'm not asking about months, weeks or days. Simply, will it be at the start of next year, or perhaps the second half. So i know, whether to sell mine or not. It would be quite stupid to sell it this week, and then the device appears after a week.

Just bought the slim. FW 0225. Thus, I'm biased.

Nevertheless, I think that it is ridiculous that you do not provide any time frame for the launch of X360USB PRO. Please, state whether it is the first quarter of '11, or the first or second half of '11. It should be fairly easy to estimate that.

2. It's already been said that you WILL have to do the trace cuts and still use a probe/spear/homemade to get the keys from such drives

There is a tutorial in JF. Apart from being careful and not cutting too deep it cant be any more helpful.

Your right, it's not terribly descriptive on exactly what it does. It's really an experts and old timers read.

The answer is no, you still have to open up your xbox. It does however apparently allow you to connect directly to a USB port instead of a sata port. It will also extract the key, so no more sodering I assume?
