X360usb pro odd driver issue with XP

I'm helping my buddy install his x360usb pro on his XP lappy.

Downloaded the drivers. Plugged in the x360usb pro and windows installed all drivers. I'm going off of memory but it installed a few different things but I know it does anyways.

USB Human interface device:
VID_11D4&PID_8334\6&19CE501&0&1

HID-Compliant device
VID_11D4&PID_8334\7&80E72BD&1&0000

Weird thing is, I tried to update driver for everything that popped up in device manager when you plug it in and it said the matching location doesn't have any info for these devices or whatever.

First thing I did was searched registry for VID_11D4&PID_8334

Got some results but couldn't delete them. Did all this very quickly I might add but trying to get some.

I know there's that tool that just shows all the usb drivers in windows etc. Every time I've used it, it does the same thing though and just refuses to work but I'm willing to try next time I go to my buddies house.

Here's where it gets really weird though... I checked the VID and PID under details for those two devices and they don't even match up with the x360usbpro.inf?

VID_11D4&PID_8333

and VID_11D4&PID_8335

I believe those were the two(maybe one more)that was in the .inf. In desperation I tried changing those to match up with what it was saying in device manager but no dice.

Any ideas? I searched and can't find anything on this problem...

Thanks.

Well, thanks for the replies guys. Being an idiot was the problem here. The on/off switch was switched to 'on' whoooops. Sorry for wasting webspace and thanks for the replies.
