Hi
I Have a question about which unit to buy, the X360USB PRO or NAND-X, I have a xbox 360 phat made in 2005 with Xenon mother board, I installed an Xecuter chip in it a long time ago, it involved opening up the dvd rom drive and soldering to the board in several places I don’t remember what the chip was called anyway it worked great in till I guess the RGH, I bought GOW3 and tried to made a copy but no go so I tried to play the game straight but it would not update from the game disk I took the chip out but the xbox still would not play the bought game, all I wont to do it make backup of my bought games if possible or just get the box playing the bought games again. Which would be the best solution and the easiest to do the X360USB PRO, NAND-X or COOLRUNNER

Sorry for the log message I just would to explain what I was doing and have done, I read a lot of info here before posting but just wont to made sure I get the right device for what I won’t to do, if I understand right the X360USB will let me flash the dvd rom firmware for backups and the nand-x is more for home brew app?

Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks

The USB Pro is for flashing your drive and that sounds like what you have now. If you want to stick with a flashed drive only then that's what you will need. The nand-x is used for reading/writing the nand to allow you to JTAG/RGH your console. With that option, you can backup and play games from a USB hard drive. The Coolrunner is what is used to RGH your console if you have a compatible system (which you do not).

To me though, it sounds like your not able to play newer games from disk? If all you want is to backup your games to disk then the USB Pro is the way to go for you.

Ok so my consol is not RGH (reset glitch hack) or XeLL compatible right, since I have removed my xecuter chip my xbox will not play any new bought dvd games, I could get the X360USB and re-flash my DVD Rom drive and it would work once again correct? Also is there firmware for that right now?

If I get a new 360 and go with the NAND-X what version xbox do you recommend I get? I know you can’t say for sure without reading the NAND and verifying with the CB’s but do you have some kind of idea what date would be best and would you get a Phat or Slim?
