Hello,

I want to know if i will be able to write on Xbox slim drives without cutting or soldering traces with the X360USB PRO V2. I read that it is compatible with all drives but i need to know if it is possible to write new firmware without soldering or cutting traces.

Regards.

You only need to cut a trace on slim drives with an MXIC SPI.

There's a switch and a probe (Sputnik360) available to buy which makes things easier, but you still need to cut a trace.

Thanks, i've got the ck3 probe. I'll get the Sputnik one and search for the cut I must do.

With Winbond drives I don't need to, right?

Winbond drives are more complex.

If you want to unlock the SPI, you must drill the chip (an unlocked PCB is certainly recommended).

Ok, thanks a lot for the info. I will try with an unlocked PCB.
