I have an x3ce chip with a 1.6 xbox using the xapter solderless install and am having a few problems.
I have preformed the install via the only good directions I could find which are here.

except that I am using the LCD/faceplate for my xbox. when following the above directions I get flashbios and have tried to install the newest x3 bios. I have installed this bios in both 1meg slots on my chip, both bioses were downloaded from different locations. With both bioses my xbox freezes at the "rox my box" screen. I also cannot get to the "emergency bios" or the MS dash when using my box in this manner by pressing any combinations of the power buttons. This problem led a friend and I (this is our 3rd collective xbox, first with a solderless mod) to believe that we possibly needed to use the power button board(the small board that connects in series between the power button wiring harness on the front of the box) when installing, which was not included in the directions I had read. When I tried that and restarted the box I got the red light on the switch and an MS dash as though the chip was incorrectly installed. I have rechecked my install many times according to the instructions and it seems to be right, it does suprize me that they don't have you hook up the 3 wire harness which includes the hd light, lan light, and DO to anything in these instructions, but I'm not familiar with the way the xapter works. If someone could please help I'd greatly appricate it.
