Got a pre-modded 1.6 mobo with Aladdin installed. However a bad bios flash (wrong version) has rendered the chip worthless. I cant find anyone to reprogram it for me, heard that was a possibility. So I've purchased an X3ce. Can I use this mod cheap to replace the existing Aladdin chip? I'm assuming I can just pull off the Aladdin mod cheap and attach the X3, I'm aware there are many new solder points I'll need to do. However my question is can I use X3 to get around the bad bios flash or is that mother board messed up permanently?

Thanks, I'm in central Ohio if anyone is able to help me out... Been at this a while and I've got 1 fried Mobo (Failed x3 installed) and now 1 Mobo with a dead Aladdin chip that needs reprogramming because of a bad bios flash.

Thanks,

The flash could only be messed up on the chip. Unless you tried a TSOP flash, but according what you said that's not what happened. I am unaware if the pin header install for the aladin will work with the x3. You may need to look into the pin header install for both and see what is similar or disimilar. Just use the x3 v1.6 install guide and check it against your current setup.
