Hello, I just recently moded my xbox 1.6b with an X3CE using the LPC rebuid method with the external switches. Everything checks out : the two blue power leds and the red flash unprotected led on the X3CE are lit. The extern switch properly display lan and hdd activity etc.
Flashbios 3.0.1 from the backup bank is used for the flashing. Flashbios 3.0.3 were previously in the two 1M main banks but were overwritten.
All flashing were attempted through the network using the http method.
All flashings were attempted on both 1M banks, 1234 on on off off ( off ), and 5678 off on off off ( off ) with the same results.
I am able to flash the latest EvoX bios without any problems. Flashes completely and reboots etc. I am even able to play original xbox games with the X3CE enabled ( quick power press ) with this bios installed.
However, when i try to flash the latest X3 bios the flashing process freezes quarter of the way during the write process ( green bar ).
Furthermore, when i try to re-flash cromwell 3.0.3 the flashing process completes with flash failed error.
I only have a CD-R drive and any attempt at making a successful dash or bios installer CD-R have failed so far. This is why i'd rather install the X3 bios to take advantage of the ftp dash install method.
