the only reason i even thought it possible was due to the fact i read some where that if i unlock the hd than my pc would be able to read the drive but my main question is is will it read it as folders as Flash FXP does or will it read all the partitions as individual drives??? guess ill just have to unlock it and find out eh (which by the way how do i unlock it im shure its in the x3 BIOS config but just to make shure im doing it all right and in reverse how do i lock the new one ???)

umm uh oh let me get my entertainment center back togather and ill get back to u on that on this "brick" thing though im not shure how true it could possibly be as the new hdd is locked w/ the same key that the stock hdd is i think id simply have to un lock the new hdd an hot swap the old one or somthin ill play w/ it and c if i screwed myself or not maybe not till this week end though keep checkin back (though i think my x3 bios has the status of my newly formatted hd as unlocked)

eg
xbox 192.192.1.2

with your internet it depend on the router you got if you go into router
in internet explorer type in 192.168.1.1 most have this ip
then set you user name as well as password in that broad band only???
hope this helps not real good on this unless it in frount of me

Static IP address is an IP address you set manually and it will stay like that.
Pros: Known permanant address (good for services, not so much an issue for clients)
Cons: Extra work

Getting an address assigned automatically will give you an IP address which will change dynamically, but you don't have to set it.
Set DHCP on in where you have network settings and if your router is set to assign addresses (it is a DHCP server)...then your xbox, pc and ps2 will get an address automatically from it.

All programs with network settings always have these two options for IP addressing.
