X3CE, Blue Led On Chip, No External X Light - Boots into M$ Dash????

Hi all, I've done a pretty extensive search through your forums trying to find this answer. I have a V1.5 Xbox with a pin header install on an X3CE. I've connected up the external switch, set the switches - on,on,off,off. Flashbios Protect - off.

Now here is the problem - when I boot the XBOX, I just get the M$dash, The little blue led on the chip 'X3CE' is on, but there are no lights on the swith panel at the front and teh xbox appears to be working fine.

Strange problem - but if anyone could help - that'd be great. Thanks all.

The blue light on the X3CE is 5V, but the light that is supposed to be on for Protect/Unprotect is off? Any ideas?? Thanks

you should have an led for the 3.3v that should be on without it the chip wont boot properly check pins 9 and 15 they are the pins on the header for 3.3v http://www.teamxecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4915&highlight=x3+voltage+led

Decided to be a bit more pro-active. Checked pins 9 and 15. 15 seemed a bit odd and soldered incorrectly, desoldered|fluxed the whole pin header, cleaned the mother board and reinstalled the whole thing with fresh solder. The whole thing is working a treat!!! Damn that 15th Pin. Thanks for all your help.
