Hi guys,

I followed this tutorial exactly
http://www.team-xecuter.com/flashbios/http.htm

I have an x3ce and am trying to load the 3294 bios...the bios is good, because I ahve successfully loaded it before.
My switches are set to
1. ON
2. ON
3. OFF
4. OFF
5. OFF

the flashprotect LED on the X3 inside is glowing GREEN
when starting up the flashBIOS screen, the flash reads menu= 0xFF dev=0xFF

So when I try to flash, it gives me the message saying unknown bios.
Even stranger, when i flip the internal X3 switch (changes LED to RED), the process of flashing will complete, but the old BIOS still boots!
All I want to do is have this one bios installed.
Someone please help!

Internal light should be red. The external switch should be off.

Red = vunerable = flashable = OFF
Green = protected = secure = ON

That's weird, because my chip has printed on it: "Red:protect/Green:Unprotect"

Regardless...can anyone help with this problem??

That's the way mine is, Xecuter messed up the labeling. I think it's fixed on the newer chips, but those that have been sitting around in warehouses were not recalled and corrected. Just a minor error...that has caused quite a few people problems.
