x3ce flash problem

Have tried to flash x3ce chip that was just installed and when I put the disc in it says waiting for drive and a 15 to 20 seconds later it ejects the disk and says please insert cd-flashing mode. Any input will be GREATLY appreciated

go over the tutorial again and again , make sure you use a dvd-r or a cdr-w and follow the exect instuctions on the tutorial .

Have done over and over. The disc were using should be fine because we loaded them into my brothers a couple months ago and his took fine. He had the x3 chip and this new one is the x3ce. Should there be any difference?

I have 2 different ones I'm tring to load with no luck, 4981.67 bios and 4983.67 bios. I have done exactly what the tuteral said to do to the T, and no luck getting them to load. When I select (Load bios from disc) it says (Please insert CD-Flashing Mode) so I insert disc. Screen says (Waiting for Drive) for about 30 seconds. At that point it ejects the disc and says (Please insert CD-Flashing Mode) and continues to say the same thing everytime I go step by step as the instructions say. Also I have the switches set off on off off off. Any ones help will be more than appreciated.

first of all, why are you trying to load X2 bios for X3. Yeah, it would work but it will handicap your X3 capability.

second, have you tried other methods of flash? HTTP flash is heaven sent, imho. If you have your xbox connected to a router or have a crossover cable handy, you can get it flashed in no time and no cd or dvd to waste.

Noobie errors always happen. I was told these would be ok. I switched the chip with the other console and it loaded with no problem, I'm stumped. Next I will try loading directly off line, sounds like it would be much less headach.

This may not help but- are both of these Xboxes the same versions. I know with the X3 Bios, you can't use the regular one in a Ver 1.6 Xbox, you need the 1.6 Plus version.
