i just wanted to know what would be best. i have a 1.6 xbox with x3ce chip. i dont know which ones i need

X3 bios, 3294 v 16. x3 bios wil let you make the most of your chip

im guessing im going to use X3_3294

if its unzip and all you have is x3 3294 then NO
If you have x3 3294 v16 plus flash the chip with that

vok well i dont see any x3 3294 v16 plus. this is what i do.
go into xbox folder, go into bios folder, click xecuter folder,click xecuter 3 folder. then it shows
-folder- "old"
-x3_3294.rar
-FlashX3.rar
-x3_bios_works...

there are no 3294 bios in the "old" folder
im not sure where to get the bios i need

x3_3294.rar is what you need...

then "unrar" the file using winrar.....

inside this rar file will be x3 3294 v16 plus then flash it to your x3

well, i got the bios but i cant connect to my xbox via http. i typed in the 69.141.205.83 which is my ip and the one that they say works for anything. when i typed in 69.141.205.83 it said i had to sign in because the stuff was protected, but im not sure how to.
BTW, im just plugging an ethernet from my box to an open port in teh back of my broadband router

yeah i did, it was like 192.168.0.102 . it didnt let me go on that. i just plugged the ethernet from my box into the next open port in the router. do i need to take out my internet cable and replace it with that ethernet?

From what I see you cant just FTP with the X3 just installed. Once you have flashed the X3 you will need to make a boot disk so you can FTP your Xbox. Like Evox boot CD. With out it as far as I can tell you can't FTP your Xbox unless I am wrong. But thats how I was able to do it on 2 Xbox mods so that way I can backup my Xbox HDD and rebuild the HDD with the files needed to load Evox.

OK guys i have another question: can i swap out my dvd drive in my xbox for another xbox dvd drive that can read cdr's, then flash via disc. after im done flashing then put my regular dvd drive back in. is this possible?

get a cd-rw not cd-r then put bios on that a cd-rw

Yes, it's possible...only the hard drive is locked to a particular xbox and not the dvd drive so you can swap them if you have. But, take djbooby's advise, use cd-rw...

i just assumed id swap out the dvd drives today from my other xbox, because i already have the bios on a cdr disc

well my drive reads cd-rw's. i just got some and i tried it but it said about the disc halting, which means i created the disc wrong. all i did was pop it into the burner and go to the e drive of my comp (which is the drive of the burner) and drug the x3 3294 v16plus bios into it and burned it. im not creating it right so can someone tell me how to?
