Maybe I had too much Scotch but I thought your initial quest was to get an X3 Bios onto the chip:

well my drive reads cd-rw's. i just got some and i tried it but it said about the disc halting, which means i created the disc wrong. all i did was pop it into the burner and go to the e drive of my comp (which is the drive of the burner) and drug the x3 3294 v16plus bios into it and burned it. im not creating it right so can someone tell me how to?

So dload the Bios...You have it...

Rename the x3 3294 v16plus to bios.bin and follow the instructions on how to make a dummyfile and a flash compliant CD.

ok, so rename the bios, make adummy, then a compliant disc

Yep then you should be good to go, don't forget flash protect off.

ok, i made the disc and i put it in with switches "on on off off off" it read it and says "unknown flash- halting" which means my flash protection is on, but its not. the switch for fp is left on the switch, and the switch on the chip is green. im kinda confused

that doesnt help me, i still do not know why. i have the stuff disabled and switches set to "on on off off off"

Unplug the switch, it will then boot to 1234 and flash to 1234, bearing in mind your sig says

um, that makes no sense, i have tried to flash to bank 1234, and that is why i am getting halt. i am going to try to switch protect the other way on the chip, for the sake of it

thanks to islander, i have flashed the 3294 bios, i had to switch the fp on the chip because it was backwards on my chip for sum reason

now, what do i have to do to get back on live? i can just turn the box on with the chip disabled like i did before i flashed right? just makin sure so i dont get banned
