Bootup xbox 1.6b with x3ce to Evox db, then to flash bios section, I removed the x3ce and plugged in x3 that is not work with 1.6b. I wanted to flash 3.0.3 onto this x3 chip. Unable to flash either 1234 or 5678 bank. Shut off xbox, reinstall x3ce and now I can't boot up. Flash 2 times then FRAG. Backup flashing X3 logo purple one time then FRAG. Is my x3ce bios corrupt or no longer work? Any help would greatly appreciated.

What position were the switches in when the X3CE worked? Chances are they' wrong now.
Secondly, really, you should have booted to the X3 BIOS to hot swap - I think anyway, not evox.
Thirdly, you will need the 3.0.3 BIOS on the Xbox hdd in order to flash it onto the other chip.
Fourthly !!!! .... If you're in the UK, you're more than welcome to send them to me and I will flash them for you - I have done this for a number of people with 1.6b's now.

the x3ce switches as on on off off off when I pull it. If the X3 has the bios ver 3.0.3 then I wouldn't have to do this. My x3 arrived from consolesource without correct bios version to work with 1.6b.

I try to softmod procedures but I ran into the problem with the boot CD. I can boot from it and able to hot swap the hdd and format c partition but after that it looking for cd with C- and F- drive. Any idea?

Even the X3's are shipped with 3.0.3 on bank 2 (off,on,off,off)

If it hasnt got the right flash bios, then you're going to have to send it back to be re-flashed by the supplier unless you know someone near you who can do it.

It turns out that two of my solder points on the bottom didn't have solid contact even when I checked them with meter shown good. I resolder those two points and the x3ce working fine. When I plug in the X3 chip, my xbox won't even bootup. What is the best way to flash X3 with 3.0.3? Hot swap with evox or boot to xecuter screen (hold white button when booting)? Thanks for the info.
this is what I would do. Use X3Ce and boot up to flashbios 3.0.3. Then hotswap your X3 into the xbox and flash with an X3 bios. After successful flash, ftp flashbios 3.0.3 onto your xbox hd, get on x3 config live with X3 chip in and flash backup bios to 3.0.3
