X3CE Freezes On Rox My Box Logo.

Got a little issue here. ive read many discussions on this topic but none are exactly what i am experiencing. here we go

i've got a wonderful 1.6b with the X3ce chip and the 3294 bios with evox dash. it worked great until i put a password in. then after i rebooted it was stuck on the flubber screen. loads M$ dash fine. i have tried all the button combos and different bank settings. but on the chip it comes loaded with a 3.0.1 on a bank and on the backup bios is also the 3.0.1. and the 3.0.3 flashbios was used so i could load the hacked bios on. now hopefully anyone that is going to post knows that 3.0.1 does NOT work with the 1.6 only the 3.0.3. so if anyone has any suggestions besides hotswapping plz let me know.

I am experiencing the same problem however there was no password problem involved with me. As soon as I went to reboot after installing Slayers v2.6 it froze on the same screen, any help would be greatly appreciated,

Boot from backup BIOS and flash your chip with 3108 to the opposite bank of the 3294, then after reboot go into Config Live and reset your X3 settings.

Reboot your 3294 Bank and you should be golden.

thats right i cant boot to any other banks cuz they are all 3.0.1 and are not recognized. but thanks for giving it a shot

pcmike18, IMO your only options are A) hotswap, B) put the chip in a pre 1.6b model to flash.

Yea just caught that, my bad. Hot Swap like Rookio suggest!

Ok buy one of those Sunday chips by Clevermod to hot swap with there only $10 plus shipping. It comes loaded with FlashBIOS 3.01 and 3.03 so it works with all Xbox versions.

Boot with the Sunday chip in place, making sure you have it positioned on the pin header correctly (pins 1-12). After which place your X3 back in place and re-flash the chip with 3108. Then after reboot go into Config Live and reset your X3 settings thus removing the password.

why is it that when i read that people have problems that i never ran into when modding my box 1.6 box with x3 chip 200gig hdd, unleashx dash...that some how some where slayers is involved...is it that prone to having problems..just curious

probably cus you read up on it and flashed the correct bios in the first place

not you p*rn. cute.little.italian.. ...man..you seemed a little pissssed there p*rn ..my bad..but wasnt talking bad about ya..it just i read alot of post that people were using slayers to auto install alot of things and then made post that they were having problems ..thats all..

Sorry to revive a dead topic, but i'm having the exact same problem.

However, i CAN boot from a backup bios. The problem is that whenever i flash 3108 on there, i have no video or sound. I mean, the LED turns red and it seems as if it's booting up, but no video or sound.

Oh yea, i can also run XBE's on it since it is also softmodded as well.

x3 3294 bios is what you need to flash your chip with
you will have to remove the softmod as well and setup x3 bios to boot to your hacked dash
