I am starting my insall right now. There is a piece of double sided tape. It looks like it is suppose to be put on the X3CE to prevent shorts. If that is where it goes, then which side does it go on?

You need this if you opt for a wire install...it's there to stick ya x3 down.
If you are doing a pin header install then you do not need it as the header will hold you chip secure

I did the pin header install. The X3 still does not seem to be to secure. I assume this has not been a problem.
If you mean bolted down then no...but it cannot rattle around inside the xbox and short anything.
It's suffient for it to push down onto the pins..

Thanks for the help. I figured it out, I just moved the network cable to another port on my router and finished the flashing.
