I have an xbox crystal 1.6V which used to have a 2.6CE chip installed with a 20Gig HD running slayers 2.6, worked faultless for over a year. I decided to buy the X3CE so installed it by just swapping chips over and adding the extra bits on. I did no soldering changes what so ever.
Now when I power up my xbox with the X3CE, the chip does not come on and I get the default MS dash starting up. I was hoping to get the bios flash screen.
What I have noticed is that on the chip the 5V BLUE LED on the X3CE chip comes on, but not the 3.3V BLUE LED or the protect/unprotect LED.
Does anyone know why this happens or had this problem and resolved it?
Do I need to make any changes to my soldering points?
