X3CE v1.6 Put Wrong BIOS on Wrong Bank - Help Please!!

I think I have lost all my BIOS's! I have an X3CE chip installedf fine and got to the flash bios screen fine, this is when it went wrong.

I firstly forgot to move the bank switches from of on off off off, to, on on off off. I then put X3_3294 and not the v16 one on. Now when turning on it turns off and on three times and then FRAG's.

I have tried going through all the switch combinations booting up off the chip and also with both power and eject together but still to no avail.

Any help in how I can get to flash the bios screen again or how I can go back to default would be much appreciated!!

Im having the same problem!!! I flashed my X3CE chip with the [font=verdana, arial, helvetica]X3_3294 bios and now i cant get ANY BANK TO WORK!!! how can we solve this? can anyone give us a hint?? even the backup mode isnt working

Hi Thanks for your reply DJBOOBY. I have bitten the bullet and bought another new X3CE chip now and want to do a hot-swap to save the old one.

I have looked at the instructions here - http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/flash-dead-modchip.php - on how to do it but I don't think it is very clear. What does ' Ok ensure the switches are "ENABLED" & "PROTECT" '? What switches are these?

Do you know of another site with more detailed instructions on how to do it, or do you have any?

boot xbox with new x3 chip installed it will boot to flashbios screen (off on off off off)
now without turning off xbox remove chip and replace with old one change switch to (on on off off off ) now flash the chip
after you get chip flashed ftp a folder call it bios with x3 bios as well as flashbios 3.0.3 into C:/ folder of xbox
now go into x3 config dash
bios tools
flash backup rom
do flash from hard drive
find bios folder with flashbios 3.0.3 in it
flash backup
reboot into backup bank (power eject at same time ) you should now have working backup bank

Thanks again for your help!! How do I determine what motherboard revision I have? It is an xbox crystal.
