X3CL Crashes after 80gb upgrade

Ok, so I flashed 2914 earlier today and everything was dandy. So I fitted an 80gb hdd just now and everything works apart from Config Live. If I boot and press down white (as I have done previously), my xbox just crashes at the boot logo. If I boot normally everything works, it just seems to be the CL that wont load. Has anyone else that this problem? Oh, and I tried reverting to 2913 and that didn't help either....

i had sort of a similar problem. When i didnt have my hdd and dvd drive plugged in, it would freeze at the big X and the xecuter rox my box did not come up. So i plugged them in (all the way tight) and it works.

Hey man, thanks for the reply. Ive double checked all my connections and they are all tight, and yet it still crashes, this is driving me insane!
edit: I also tried the eeprom erase buttons and that didnt help either...

OK, now my xbox wont even boot with the chip enabled, it just crashes at the Xbox Logo, it loads my custom x3logo.bmp which is odd, but after that nothing happens. My box boots perfectly when stock...this is confusing the hell outta me. Ive tried re-flashing, and using all the different bios releases I have and nothing seems to work....aaaah!
Any suggestions are appreciated...thanks

there is a psot regarding the skins in X3CL and if you delete the selected skin in FTP screen that it will revert back to the default X3CL skin and everything will work. (hopefully)

Thanks man, i wish I hadn't got fed up and stuck the 80gb in my pc now. Thanks for the info tho, im sure it'll help when I come to upgrade in the near future!
