Also, when you say try different LPT modes, what exactly do you mean?
Exactly that, try it with modes other than SPP, if they're available. Some people have reported success with this.

Do I need to have the ring of light PCP plugged in though?
I don't believe it's necessary, but it can't hurt.

Re: Unable to read nand to uncripple console

Alright, thanks.
Auh, how do you check continuity in the wires though (to make sure the connections are good)? I have one of these fancy tools, don't really use it much:

EDIT: Okay nevermind I figured out a way to test for continuity. Turns out the box that connects the two cables doesn't connect them properly - it actually reverses the connections since both the cables go in facing opposite of each other. It would be like you facing someone, you want to connect your left hand to either left hand, but you just reach straight out with your left hand and you end up touching their right hand, when you should be reaching across to touch their left hand. Hopefully I'm right. I'll test it out.

EDIT 2: Yep, everything working now :D

Don't mean to hijack this thread, but I'm about to dive into this too.... All the guides I can find are for Xenon, but I have a Zephyr board.. Is it possible for the Zephyr? If anyone can throw me a link I'd be very grateful! I'll keep looking..

Haha, called it. Don't feel bad though, it took me two days to realize I'd wired up the DB25 plug backwards the first time I did this.

Glad to hear it. Feels good to get crap working, doesn't it?

It's possible. Use this. Pay careful attention to the DB25 plug and the ethernet link, if you add one, as it's very easy to reverse them. Make sure to test your cable from the pins of the DB25 plug to the opposite side of the points you soldered to on the motherboard.

I personally prefer to solder all wires to the bottom of the motherboard, and run the LPT wires up through the small holes around the HANA chip. Looks much nicer. You have to be careful not to short anything against the cage if you do it this way, however.

Re: Unable to read nand to uncripple console

Cool, thanks again IMADV8. I also found another diagram, but I am unsure of it.. It seems a lot simpler to me, but that could be a bad thing? Anyway, here it is: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y212/sabbath_dude/Final.jpg

I don't plan on adding an ethernet link, it would be cool but I don't see much use for it after I flash the nand to uncripple the 360.. The only thing I can thing of is some kind of new exploit in the future, which I'm sure we're all hoping for. :)

Just let me know what you think about that 2nd diagram, else I'll just go ahead and use the one you gave me. Thanks again.

Re: Unable to read nand to uncripple console

Looks like the only difference between the two is that the one I linked to has a diode on J1D2.4. I'm not sure what difference that makes, but that's how I did mine.
