Im thinking about getting a X3CP, but I am wondering how the USB ports work. I know that you cannot have all four xbox controllers hooked up at the same time with USB devices also attached. Is there some kind of switch to use the USB or does having a USB device plugged in disable one of the xbox controller ports? Just wondering how this works as I may be hardwiring the DVD dongle to one of these USB ports.

I believe that as soon as you plug a controller into port three or four (or whichever ones you connect your USB ports to), it disables that USB port. For example, if you plug a controller into port three while you have a USB keyboard in the first USB port, it'll disable the keyboard. Don't quote me on that, but I'm pretty sure that's how it works.

If you do get a x3cp there is a spot to mount the xir so you dont have to hardwire yor dvd dongle, also you can use dvdx2, this allows you to use your game controller to view movies without the dvd playback kit.

does the xir kit work for browsing through dashboards? Currently I can use the DVD playback kit with the remote to navigate through most dashboards. As far as I knew, the xir kit is only for turning the console on and off with the remote... but can it do all the other stuff too?? (except playing DVD with MS Dash of course)
