Hi
Looking for a little advice...Fitted my Control Panel and having a problem with the LCD displaying anything. The display worked for 30 mins or so and showed all the correct info but now it lights up and shows squares on all lines.
Any thoughts...Thanks

I've posted a topic in Install Support with the same problem, although mine has never shown any text, just black squares

maybe, i think that you need to put electric tape over the back of the lcd because it will short when it touches the metal

Hi,

I just ordered a new xlcd from bb, and installed it into my x3cp (I thought I had shorted the previous lcd, and as a mate needed some modding, I decided to try it). As soon as it came outta the box, I covered the back of the lcd with tape, just to make sure I didn't short it again. And I still have 2 black bars on the top and 3rd line (And blue backlight) and nothing else. Any ideas? As it plugs directly into the chip my only thought is that a track may be damaged on the back of the chip, although it all looks sweet as underneath. Both the connectors only fit in one way, so I'm stumped, any ideas?
