Installed an X3LCD. Had no problems with the installation, but the display is partially garbled/missing pixels. See the following image:

As you can see the bottom line is missing parts of most of the letters.

Also the vertical line on the far right that looks similar to an exclamation point never goes away.

The back of the LCD was insulated with black electrical tape before it was ever powered up, so it's not a shorting problem.

Should I return this under warranty, or is there anything I can do?

Re: AP25 error

I did that already, and then checked the disk with abgx and it said ap25 files were good.

Re: AP25 error

I had this problem last night with NFSHP.
Did you get your firmware from xbins? I wrote the firmware that said it was v1.1 for liteon, but it isn't. You have to get the correct v1.1 from either the Hitachi folder or the web.
I don't know why it says LTv1.1 when it isn't but I re-wrote with the new firmware and it booted fine.

Re: AP25 error

So you have it working?
I d/l both LT + packs from xbins and they were both wrong. The only one that worked was the one from the Hitachi folder. Did Jungleflasher autofind your firmware? if it doesn't that suggests it is the wrong one as the name is slightly different.

Re: AP25 error

I haven't had time to find it, so I will check the hitachi folder and install that one this weekend hopefully.

Re: AP25 error

that's because lt v1.1 and lt+ v1.1 are different

for some reason xbins doesn't have lt+ under each folder

Re: AP25 error

And LT+ is under the hitachi folder? When loaded into jungle it doesn't give a version for it.

Re: AP25 error

All,

For the new dash update 19-01-11 that recently came out, is it fine to apply the update if you're already on LT+ 1.1? I'm assuming yes but just want a second opinion, preferably from someone reputable. Thanks!

Re: AP25 error

as long as your drive is flashed to lt+ v1.1 which is located in the hitachi folder on xbins, not in lite-on.

To be safe though, i would flash to stock before updating and then reflash to lt+ v1.1
