X3LCD Two solid rows!

Yesterday I installed the LCD perfectly fine and it totally worked... Came back today to turn on my box and there were two solid bars on the second and third row of the LCD, I tried re-intalling it and check my cable from the chip to the LCD, messed around with the brightness wheel on the chip and then check my settings on the Bios (1959) and toggled the enabled and disabled option. The wierd thing about it, is that it displays the first row of information and no the second or third. Has anyone had this problem, so wierd it was displaying perfectly yesterday?

Check the connection between the chip and the ribbon, or the ribbon and the lcd.

Hitachi V59 Problems.

I have searched for a solution but cant really find a definite answer. Im using windows 7 64bit, and windows does not detect the drive, I have tried port I/0 and win api. I put the hitachi in mode b and jungle flasher says that it doesnt detect a hitachi drive. on the left side of the hitachi tab it shows the hitachi drive, but on the right where it says drive it doesnt show the hitachi.

I have tried going into device manager and scan for new hard ware, but still doesnt matter.

Re: Hitachi V59 Problems.

When you put the hitachi in mode b does your computer recognize the drive at all? If not you may not be getting the drive in mode b first.

Re: Hitachi V59 Problems.

My computer is not assigning the hitachi a drive letter. Also, jungle flasher says no hitachi drive found.

Re: Hitachi V59 Problems.

I was able to dump the ofw with classic mode, but not with RAM Upload. Now i need to flash it but the only option i have is RAM Upload which is failing.

Ok i think i figured it out. I have to reinstall the driver for my via card and use winapi. Can someone point me in the right direction for the driver?

Re: Hitachi V59 Problems.

Ok I was able to flash the drive. For some reason it wouldnt work connected to my via card. I had to connect it to my on board sata, and use win api. For some reason it did not give me an option to send to mode b, i think it was because i disabled via ports, but it did show up in the drive drop down list.

I haven't tested it yet, but i will later on today.

Re: Hitachi V59 Problems.

I tested the drive and it is working. I am not sure why it was giving me problems, even though i followed the jungle flasher tutorial.
