If it's a 83850c v2 then you will need to solder and cut traces, if the console is made juli 2009 or later you got one!

Do the soldering and get a full fw-dump.It takes a couple of minutes more but it´s better cause you get the calibration data with that solution.

calib data is pointless! it's not even present on refurbed drives! it's not used - it old test data from manufacture, thats all

Yes the calibration is not used.Not now.But the cut and soldering is what I personally do on all Lite-On´s if they are new not flashed before.Have been modding Ps2 for over 8 years so this soldering is like walk in the park.
