Xapt3r.1.6 on 2.6b mobo cant get it working

first of all sorry to bother you guys again

What is the 5v wire for and do i need conect it with an xapter 1.6
on an xbox 2.6b mobo

i got the xapter on board
got the wires*golden ones* hocked up
i conected the Xecuter 2.6ce with the external switch
i placed the switch outside like in the tutorial if i plug in the chip
and boot with out the Harddisk&dvd drive, it starts stops starts stops starts*with in 5sec*
there are no lights on the external switch and no signal on the screen

if i unplug the chip it starts normal
the lights on the Xapter go from 1blue 1green 1 yellow 1 orange 1 red is that correct?

well after i did some research
i got the chip conected
still the same situaton it starts stops starts stops starts all with blank screen
i unpluged the chip again and removed the xapt3r just to start all over again
so while themobo was bck in origanal state i pluged in hd and dvd and started up, now my troubles started xbox boots with the x and all but dvd wont open and i got a green sreen white 15 in the uper left corner and itsays some with customer service and repair ....

whats wrong with my babe
did i screwed my xbox up or what???

please help help help

what bank did you have it set to try bank2

I think the previous post is right. My 2.6CE chip came preinstalled with BIOS version 3.0.1 on bank 1 (for xbox v1-1.6) and 3.0.3 on bank 2 (for xbox v 1.6b and after). This information is documented on the front page when you visit www.teamxecuter.com. From yor posting, I think that you bought 2.6CE and your xbox is version 1.6B right? Here are a few ideas of mine:

1. I'm guessing that your current problem is your HDD is not locked.
2. Check your DVD cables and make sure that they're plugged in correctly. I had my HDD not recognise before and by unplugging both power and data cables and reinsert them again, I got rid of the FRAG and the "Service call message"
3. you should have the 5 LEDs that you mentioned earlier (blue, green etc) if you plug the Xapt3r in correctly. I think that each LED corresponded to a "leg" that you plugged in
4. The Alt-5V cables is plugged into the 2.6CE chip and not the Xapt3r. I've attached a diagram of where to hook up your Alt-5V connection.

so i got an
xbox 1.6b
xecuter 2.6.ce
xapt3r 1.6

i unplugged all the cables ad replugged them twice still fraggin i cant open the dvd drive and the same green screen apears call customer service. with a white 12this time on the uper left corner. this all with out any modification at all

shell i still get the chip back in and if i understood it right boot from bank2
see if this makes a diffrent i dont know if i somehow sreewed the bios up or are my probs hardware only??

got everything back together with out the chip(switch off)it starts normal
ui atleast thats out of the way

but now with the chip on the same old
it starts stops starts stops start the ejectbuton flashes red green and i dont have a screen

on the external switch are 3 switches first
enable disable chip
2.flash protected on off
3 bank 1 or two
witch settings do i need???
plus a small oe for the light

flash protect to off
if you get flashbios screen then change switch too bank 1 without rebooting xbox flashbios will stay there so you can flash the bios too bank 1 do not flash over flashbios if you find a flashbio that works there are two flashbios 3.0.1 for v1.0 to v1.6 xbox on bank 1
flashbios 3.0.3 for v1.6b as well as v1.0 to v1.5 but not v1.6 on bank 2

thanks for the settings
but my xbox still frax when i boot up
same old starts stops starts stops sarts and then the eject button flashes red green and no screen at all

what could cause that??i tried to unplug the cables from the chip and repluged them
all the lights are working,(xapter blue green yewllow red)
(xecuter blue and the lights on the external switch are fine to)

i just read that if the xbox boots with black screen(no frag thou)i need
to reprogram the chip
might that be the trouble of mine, is that the solution
but why does my xbox stil frags, i tried to boot it 5times still no change

mate if your still geting fag recheck your install recheck 0d point as well
there only one wire not seating right and you will get fag it may pay to get it solder in by someone how knows how to solder get modchip installer to install it i wounld go that way
on the xapter you should get three blue one red light
