xapt3r and X3 on 1.4 xbox frag.

hi all

installed my xapt3r got all 3 blue leds lighting and stuc the d0 pin in the red light comes on (i assume thats a good thing) when i boot the xbox with out the chip on it comes up error 6 when i put the chip on its gose on and off 3 times but no error code and no screen.

the led's on the chip light up nice and bright what am i missing?

i have now cured the error6 code i soldered my 1.6 xbox before i done this 1.4 box and got the hdd mixed up lol..

rechecked D0 made sure all is clean still fraging X3 front light is red any help would be great

Dude its your D0 trust me! ITS not fixed like you think. And it you think so then you need to check the LPC pins 13-14

i'm sure its in in the right plase the light on the xapt3r shows red dose this mean i have a bad d0 connection?

sorted the xapt3r wasnt sitting right on the lpc even tho the lights where bright fresh pair of eyes this afternoon cured it sorry for the lame question

MRA hack !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So be belive i successfuly cut the traces like the jungleflasher tutorial said i soldered everything except the wires that go on the traces, My dilema is he solder wont stick on the traces, anybody can give me soldering adivce as to why. by the way i tried heating the traces a little to increase its conductivity but the solder still wont stick. any advice is helpfull



The board is still in great condition my soldering skill are great enough not to wreck the board

you should get some flux!

it cleans off the surfaces making it possible for the solder to bond

(or get rosin core solder)

Got any home indrediant i could use lol. Not many places that sell stuff like that around me. the closest place is like 35 km away and its closed till tuesday and closes early.

i wouldn't risk it, best thing to do is get some flux/rosin

also, be careful how much you heat your traces, you don't want to start lifting them off the board
