I just put the xapt3r in after desoldering the holes on my v1.0 mobo. When i turn the xbox on, the xapt3r lights up blue, the X3 LED on the side of it lights up, but there is 1 red led that i can see shine though the chip and its right next to the lpc holes and the flash protection switch.
I checked my d0 point a 100 times and it seems its in the correct spot. Does anyone know whats wrong?

EDIT: Ok, so its apears it is the d0, i guess i dont have it in the right hole. Ive been seaching and cant find a clear picture of where to put it. Any have one?

Baldbouncer has a diagram tutorial showing how to install an xapter for version 1.0 to 1.1 and 1.2 to 1.5. I think it should be the same for xapt3r as far as the d0 goes.

I'm having the same problem. The LED closest to the d0 point is red. I also have a 1.0 mobo. I wanted to make sure i had the xapt3r in place correctly before i continued, but i couldn't find any solutions. I hooked everything else up including X3 CE and tested it. It seems to all be working fine, boots flashbios, and microsoft dash. Also in the this pic that team xecuter recently posted you can see the red light shining through the X3.

I was just wondering if this LED should be blue? What does this mean, and what does it affect?

I'm using the solderless xapt3r and it has a small wire to go into the d0 point on the top of the mobo. I'm pretty sure thats the underside of the mobo when doing the pinheader install. I did follow the guide except for i havn't attached the hd or lan leds yet. And i assume since i can boot to flashbios or ms dash then my top d0 point is working.

Come on people. If you read the sticker right above the red LED you will see that it is the status LED for flash protection. When it is red, flash protection is off, meaning you can flash your bios. When it is green, flash protection is on, meaning you can't flash the bios.

Ok, i understand what the red led on the X3 means. I'm talking about the red led that shines through from the Xapt3r.

Heres the pic again with help for those who misunderstood.

If you have your D0 installed right, you will have 1 red led on the Xapt3r. The others will be blue.
