Xapt3r install issues

Hi, I'm trying to install an X2.6CE with a solderless Xapt3r, only the screw that came with the Xapt3r appears not to fit. The screw is in two parts, and the blue xapt3r seems to be too thick so the top half of the screw can't grip on the bottom half.
Has anyone else had this sort of problem? I've tried the original torx screw but that doesn't seem to be long enough either... perhaps I should file off a bit of the xapter....

Its not long enough to grip in the hole in the mobo, it just keeps on turning round. I may have stripped part of the hole trying that but the bottom half of the screw supplied with the Xapt3r still fits firmly.

actually its not the plastic part of the Xapt3r getting in the way, its the metal in between which holds them apart. I might have to drill that bit out and rely on the plastic to hold it down...
