xapt3r install question

My bro ordered me an X3 + Xapt3r for my bday, and im waiting for it to come in but as i was reading through the installs i stumbled upon something that confused me. The xapt3r will keep me from having to solder anything on the lpc of my xbox, but lets say i wanted the LAN led and HD led lights to work, if i went ahead and soldered those in, would i have to solder then d0 grey wire in as well? or does the d0 on the xapt3r take care of all of that and id just have to solder in the red and green wire?

from what i understand, if you want the LAN and HDD leds to work, you have to solder those points and connect the 3-wire harness to your x3. as for soldering the d0 point, you dont have to do this as it is accomplished by the d0 wire from the xapt3r. simply tape off (or cut off) the grey wire from the 3-wire harness and you're all set.

i agree though, some of the tutorials ive seen could be laid out and explained better when it comes to the xapt3r.

does any one help me ?? i have a xbox 360 arcade with flashed ixtreme lt1.1 lite on 93450c drive... now i want to play avi files on my 360. but when i play video files from usb deviced ... message appear " A media update is required to play this content .To get the update,sign in to Xbox LIVE and play the content again. Status code:51-C00DF236 " & my question is .... is it safe to update from online my 360 ????

Should be fine as long as all your games are stealthed/patched/ripped correctly, then your system wont be flagged or banned. Thats assuming that it's not flagged already or M$ havent found a way to detect your system regardless.

Just go for it. Ultimately if you dont your actively banning yourself!

Hi.
So how update goes ?
I have situation with codecs on my flashed box, so i'm to cosider updating through xboxLive.
Question:
- it's one time codecs update, or i nee to be constantly connected ?
