Questions about Xapt3r installation with the X3 chip: I am I correct that you just insert the the wire on the adapter into the D0 point?

Also, do you still have to solder the wires at the LAN & HD LED locations?

Much Thanx.

the little cylinders are for those with LPCs that have solder in them

Thanks. I didn't know what they were for so I already removed the solder from the holes. Now what am I supposed to do with the rivets? Hope I didn't hurt anything.

Another question, I'm trying to get my Xapt3r installed and it looks like the chip at the upper right of the lpc is in the way and there's no notch out of the adapter to clear the chip so it keeps the xapt3r from sitting down.

Is this common and ok to grind a notch to clear this chip?

Thanks yet again.

No - they're for Xboxes with clear LPC holes. They provide a better connection to the LPC points and pogos.

The Xapt3r was custom made to fit. It should not interfere with anything else on the board.

I've checked and double check and the chip is in the way. There is a notch in my xapt3r to clear the resistor right above the lpc bus but not for the chip. The contacts on the xapt3r are lining up with the lpc bus.

Does anyone have a picture of an installed xapt3r because I'm starting to wonder if I'm doing something wrong.

Thanks.

no matter what martin or xecuter wants to say. the chip is on the way for a lot of people i just cut a very small amount of the side of the xapt3r, (its posts like these that made xecuter take my reputation points away)

I know the little cylinders are for the xboxes with holes and the purpose is to provide a better connection to the LPC and pogos. I just want to clarify on the installation:

a. You put the little cylinders into the holes and then the pogo pins are pushed into
the little cylinders?

Can someone who has installed with the cylinders let me know the installation. I saw the Xaptr3r installation shown in the news in November but it does not show the little cylinders.

Thanks
