Hi I have a wierd question, my Xapt3r lights up with 3 blue leds and when the x3 chip is on their it also has a red led. When I turn on the xbox it shuts dow 2x and then stays flashing red/green. If I turn the chip off the xbox boots up fine. If the Xapt3r is lit up doesn't that mean all the connections are good? Is the X3 chip supposed to light up because mine does not. Any help would be great.

edit: I also have a v1.0

i seem to be having a similar problem - i havent hooked it up to a/v yet, but 3 blue and 1 red led on the xapt3r when my x3 is mounted on it, and if the x3 isnt mounted on it i get 1 red led that eventually goes away.

the x3 switch that i mounted to the front of my xbox lights up with the blue X, my power led is flashing red and green.

not sure either

edit: ps - i have a xbox 1.0

I have the AV cables hooked up and the xbox turns on fine with the chip disabled. When the chips is enabled it seems to frag but I don't know why because I have all the leds lit up.

my chip was frag-ing when i put my dvd and hdd in - turns out the chip came loose or something, so i just repositioned it

it boots to the flashbios screen now, trying to figure out how to backup my save games, etc

I thought the Xapt3r would make X3's idiot proof.....
So do you have a solution o great one? I didn't not put my xbox back together, the dvd and hd are on the outside of the box so I know nothing is messing with the mod chip itself. All the leds are on but its fragging still.

Just make sure that your chip is seated correctly on the mobo.

If this doesn't work, get a multimeter or an ohmeter and check for continuity between the Xapt3r pins and the LPC holes. (touch the copper parts of the LPC holes)

clearly the xapt3r isnt properly aligned...yous with v1.0s, i suppose there is still solder in the lpc holes. that will cause a problem.

BTW, the best fix is to just solder the thing in.

via vt6421a

hello everybody...

i have searching for this pci card and I bought "via vt6421a"

my question is if this the same like "via vt6421" and if i can use this card because i didn't find "via vt6421"

the difference that i found between the two card is only in the number of sata port the "via vt6421a" has 3 ports and "via vt6421" has 2 ports.
