Xapt3r No Solder add-on for v1.6+

Does anyone know when it will be released? It is supposed to be released sometime this January and it is suppose to be compatable with Xbox 1.6+,and I wish to buy this Xapt3r so I dont have to do any soldering, cause I reeeeeeeeeeealy dont want to mess up.

you said it's sposed to be released sometime in january... your sources seem to know when it'll be released Pick a date between the 21st - 30... 1/10 chance of being right

I doubt it will be out in January. Might be soon... might not be.... go pay someone $20 to solder it for you... probably cheaper then the xapt3r

Honestly - Soldering is not hard. Go buy a $5 15 volt iron and $2 solder. I've never soldered in my life.... 1 point didnt solder right... added a bit more solder, and walah. I had the shakiest hands ever also. Just make sure to practice - Dont touch the board for longer then a second... and be carefull, long as you dont go holding down the solder iron to the board... im pretty sure you should be fine.

If you dont got confidence... goto xbox-scene, and look at there installers for your area. odds are it's cheap... mine only costed $20 for my first box.

Go check if there are modders in YOUR area... What is this all about??? Avoiding shipping and handling costs...

soldering a 1.6 is NOT easy. for anyone. it is done "routinely" but is not a simple matter. soldering the HDD and LAN wires is easy; DO and the rebuilding the LPC can be evil.

D0 point was the easiest point for my instal (or maybe i was just lucky) and the pin header seemed the hardest. In between was the LAN/HDD points.

well i totaly ****ed up the soldering of the rebuilding of the LPC, i pulled off one of the tiny metal rings, and now i have no ****ing clue what the hell im supposed to do!! help!!

Do a forum search on "Repair" And find a way to repair traces. I believe theres a lot of them around.
