Will using the pins really help hold the adapter securely on the motherboard? I have a 1.0 xbox and was thinking of using a solder sucker to remove the solder from the holes so I could install the pins.

you just put it there , no need to solder.

No but there is a need to De-solder if you have a 1.0 box.. Don't try to crank down the Xapt3r onto those solder filled holes... there will be tears!

SO you think I should desolder the LPC holes on my 1.0?

yes i had to on one of mine i just desolder the wholes and it works great!!!

if youre going to bother to desolder that stuff just go ahead do a pin header install

I've tried to do a pin install on 3 differnet xbox b4 and could not get it to work. That's why I wanna play it safe and use the adapter.
