hell u could solder the D0 point 2, i'd solder 2 the Alt D0 though of course as it's bigger, the Xapt3r will bascly take care of any LPC connections.

it will be a waste of $20, and then getting a soldering iron for the other points

You just answered your own question then especially when you can get a good 15 to 25w solder iron for about $15

you DONT have to solder anything with the xapter. You wont have the hdd or lan lights working though. They are very easy, but if you dont care about them, then dont worry about it. And the d0 is soloderless with the xapter. So technically it can be completley solderless

If you have ever looked at the solderless adapter for the X3 you would see that it uses pogo pins for the LPC ports and uses a sharp pointed kinda pogo pin for the D0 point. If you search for a pic of it you'll see what I am talking about. That or look at some of the tutorials.

Also the adapter doesnt work with the 1.6 boxes but they are working on a new adapter that will take care of that.

Ok - this thread is getting completely off topic now!!

Here are your choices:

1. Get an Xapt3r and lose the LAN / HDD function (solderless solution).
2. Get someone to solder it for you.
3. Learn to solder. Get a 15W Iron and an old PC expansion card. Practice, practice practice. Read the Tutorial "how to solder".

Nobody is forcing you to solder the chip yourself. If you really don't feel up to it, then get someone to do it for you. It'll be a one-off payment to fit it, instead of ruining the board and having to buy a new Xbox etc.
