Yeah i updated my drive to LT V1.1 Myself last week and i had the same problem and as soon as i went back to LT V1.0 I didn't have this problem anymore.

I had the same dirty disk error too. What I found out is if you eject the tray with disk in it then close the tray with the disk in again it works everytime, wierd I know but the trick works on both units in my home both with LT1.1 on Liteon series 8 drives V1 and were only purchased 2 months ago from additions-direct. Both units are Jasper boards with 256mb onboard memory.
I also used Verbatim DVD+R DL 43666 and AONE Plus Gold Edition DVD+R DL disks but found it didnt change a thing which I thought was a bit odd seeing as the dye in Verbs are far superior. So on that note I guess it has to be a CFW issue.
