Hi, I know this is a general problem since I searched the boards but I still have a quick question.
When screwing in my xapter this morning that damn screw snapped.
Everyone seems to say you can just use the original screw from the motherboard. So I have tried to install with that screw but it's making the xapter sit at an angle... the pins on the side away from the screw clearly aren't making contact properly.
So.. should I slip a small washer under the xapter? Will this cause me any problems. As far as I can work out this should solve the thing sitting at an angle problem since the original screw has a washer style affair on the bottom. Or does anyone have any other suggestions for getting this to sit properly.
btw I can't solder for toffee and am 99% sure i would somehow kill the xbox board if I tried so need a non solder solution.
