XB Connect Over Dialup

I'm looking for feedback from people who have tried using XB Connect through a PC using a dialup connection. I know that XB Connect recommends a 128Kbps minimum connection. However, I've seen a few posts from people saying that they have had decent results over dialup. A friend of mine is not yet able to get DSL and doesn't like his options for cable or satellite internet. So, I figured that I'd give him a cheap solution until they solve the DSL issues in his area or another decent solution turns up. If you have any experience using dialup to play Xbox with XB Connect, please let me know how it worked. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I figured the speed might be an issue. I found some feedback from people who found 3 or 4 games that didn't work too bad. Other than those, the feedback was pretty negative. My friend had his hopes set on DSL, which would have been $30 a month. After getting jerked around for a few weeks, he found out that his phone line can't support DSL. Now, I'm trying to convince him to go for the cable modem at $56 a month. I don't know if he will go for it. He pays for DirectTV and wouldn't be able to get the price any lower unless he pays for a cable TV package as well. Perhaps if the dialup can give him even a taste of what online play has in store for him, he might be convinced to get the cable modem.
