OK, so here is the deal. I have read all the jungle flasher tutorials AND XBC tutorials so I am either missing, or not seeing, the info I need. I just got the x360usb pro v2 and it works great. Drive powers on, drivers installed easy, pc gives drive a letter, and everything is working great. BUT XBC will NOT let me chose the drive to start a rip. Why? I do not know. Here is what shows up when I start XBC:

Xbox Backup Creator v2.9 Build:0421 By Redline99

Found ODD: SATA DVD-ROM 6243 at [F]
Additional Info: BenqAP25v3.0
*** No applicable drives found ***

Nero API is not available
ImgBurn 2.5.7.0 is available
ImgBurn - The Ultimate Image Burner! by LIGHTNING UK!

AP25 cannot locate dae.bin file

Why does it say it found the drive but right after say that no applicable drive is found? Makes no sense to me.

The drive is a Benq with 0800 on it; and yes, it is flashed correctly.

Yes, I have checked that the wires are all correctly set up. yes, the drivers are all installed correctly. And yes, this was all confirmed via the diagrams and posts already on this site. Oh, Jungle flasher sees the drive too. So, what gives? I am really about to give up on this after two weeks of this same problems.

put LT+ or stock on it and try ;)

XBC detects you are using a x360usbpro v2 and tries to set 0800 mode with that, but it doesn't work if there is also 0800 firmware on the drive.

Someone the other day was having trouble with 0800, flashed back to stock put the Dvd key in jungle Flasher key database and work after that.

I am going to try this right now. I am going to reflash the drive with the stock firmware and see if it works. Also, the PC is seeing the drive as a CD drive, not a DVD drive. Could that be a problem?

No, on 0800 firmware, it will see it as a CD drive. Just flash it back to stock or LT+ 3.0 and ensure the DVD key is in the JF keyDB

OK. I just tried that but for whatever reason I cannot figure out how to add a key to the JF KeyDB. I have the original key, too

load a file with the key in it as source in JF, then right click in the source area and choose Update Key DB

That will add the info from that file to the KeyDB

Just want to start by saying thank you, big time. However, the key is in the database and I have reflashed to stock and xbc will now not only not see the drive but wont let chose it, either.

OK, maybe I am losing my mind or I simply do not know what I am doing, but this is what Jungleflasher says:

Vendor: Sata
Name: DVD-Rom
FW REV: 6243
Reserved: 0c
DVD Key: Not found....?????

But when I look in the key database the Benq key is DEFINITELY there. Weird.

is AP25 processing enabled? if so, try disabling it. it is recommended that you use the median patches, anyway.

Just wanted to say thank you for all your help. I have now ripped two of my games and made successful backups. I dont know why, but all of a sudden XBC decided it wanted to play nice. Yay for me. Now I am going to go do some research and see if I can find out why my Xbox wont play the backup.

if you disable AP25 processing, you still have to patch in the topology data. you can do that manually, or just run it through ABGX
