XBCP/external hdd(usb), how do i load the backed up games?

I just installed my new control panel for the x3, and so far its pretty sweet.. Everything seems to be working corectly.. except that i am not sure how to use the usb ports.. I pluggd my 120gig external hdd. into it hoping it would be reconized but it was not. I have many cpu games, roms, and xbox games copied to the hdd and i was wondering if there was a way i could load a game of the hdd through the dashboard, and how i might set it up..?

Ok as far as I now you cant use a usb HD to run games from becuase the transfer rate is to slow I believe the only use for a usb HD on an Xbox is a really big and expensive memory card.
