Check the d0 and the pwr/reset pcb. And also the rest of your soldering.

It's nothing more than a bad install.

there lies problem one for me...my chip doesnt disable properly...i made a post about it, but got no help
if your xbox just boots enabled when you try to start disabled, go to your x3 live config and tell it to boot disabled from the menu. If that works, then it probably means that the X3 switch thingy needs fixed. I doubt that it would be D0 point, because if that wasn't soldered right, then you just wouldn't be ble to boot with mod enabled. Do you get any error messages, and have you messed around with your EEPROM at all? If all you get is a black screen when you try to disable, its probably because your EEPROM got messed up. If thats the case, post again, i don't really feel likt typing out the instructions on how to fix it unless you need it.

you still aren't saying what happens if you try to disable it. if you are getting an error, it is probably because of your hard drive, if you are getting a black screen, its probably because of your tsop or eeprom, if it is just booting with chip enabled even though you want it disabled, that is something wrong with the little board that goes between your power switch and your motherboard.
