I am thinking about making a custom drive bay , one that fits underneith the DVD drive. Then on the right, I can put extra space for the HD outputs, and router.

Well I F***** up the router.... I was taking it apart, and my dog walked in and knocked a can of pop on it. When I found out what happened, it was 3 mins later, and everything was soaked. Now the router doesnt work at all. If anyone has a spare router they can donate, that would be great.

thats why i have a cat... thats 18 years old... in human years... and hes and outdoor cat... and he just killed 3 bunnies... and hes older then i am by 5 years... and its kinda creeping me out.

THATS NOT TRUE! I spilled pop on my nVidia card, and 3 months later i needed to use it, but the pop was just syrup then. So I washed it off in hot water for 2-3 mins, then dried it off with a blowdryer and it worked.
lol, hey i found a thing in my weekly best buy add for a d-link 4 port router for 5 bucks after mail in rebaite, i was thinking of puting it in my slimmy, do you think it will fit? and is there a tut anywhere on how to hook er up?
I doubt theres a tutorial on how to do it, but its really not that hard. The easiest way is to just take it a part, make the holes for the ports, and another small hole for the power cord. If you wanted to get techincal, you could have the power run off the XBOX itself like im gonna do with XBNet, but its alot harder, and more risky.
Late to the party but I like the idea - way cool having the router etc all inside. Why not tuck a wireless router (or bridge) inside & put the antenna port on the outside? Ya know... this might actually make one of those extender case add-ons worth it just to stuff toys inside. Crud - now I won't get any sleep.
Hey - keep in mind the X3 control panel. Already has the LCD & USB ports built in. Might move your USB's to the back or sides?

I already have the wireless thing in mind, im gonna use a wireless + 4 port linksys router and have the ant. sticking out of a hole in the top. Which is kool because the ant. cant be unscrewed and taken out so you dont need to have it in always. Also, I know that the router can be powered off the XBOX. I found out the hardway. I was being stupid while taking the harddrive bay out, and my hand slipped and the whole left side of myy hand was touching the power supply while the XBOX was still on. The scary part was that I couldnt move it for like 10 seconds. Scared the sh*t out of me.
