Greetings,

Tried to install the x3 on a 1.0 xbox over the weekend and now i get no video on it.

- Desoldered and soldered the pin header
- soldered the other 3 wires.

now when i turn on the xbox i get the LAN , HD and the BLUE x3 light but no video.
when i try to turn it on with the mod chip off i get a frag and no display.
when i try to turn it on with the back up bios the xbox shuts off.

tried the mod chip on another xbox and it booted fine. did i fry my mobo?
this mobo originally had a 2.x lite + solderless chip but had problems.

thanks for any input. also tried to look this up on the search but havent really found anything.

also checked the solder points and re-did them after reading tips on the fourms.

Yup, originally i was using the HD when i 1st booted then realized the mistaked and put the stock AV cables. the video out might have been set to HD before the install but not sure if that makes any dif. also when i took the chip off i was also getting no video only "FRAG". =\

Thank you,

No disc required when booting a game installed on HDD

Hey guys, as of today I flashed my BenQ 360 with iXtreme LT v1.2 and was curious as to whether or not it's possible to play a game that's been installed on the 360 HDD WITHOUT having the disc in. Are there any work arounds for this?

Nope sorry, unless you have a J'tagged Xbox.
